Sani Lodge Backpackers is Fair Trade in Tourism certified (2011) 4 star graded (2008 ) and annual recipient of Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence since 2013 . The lodge is 26 years old and still nurtured by original entrepreneurs , Russell and Simone who are passionate ,altruistic advocates of conservation and leaders in the field of sustainable tourism as recognised by the Africa Responsible Tourism Awards 2016 through awarding Sani Lodge a prestigious Silver Award for Poverty Reduction. This unique ,laidback Lodge warmly welcomes international visitors to South Africa and local tourists ,offering a wide range of comfortable accommodation with a tasteful African ethnic décor theme ( camping, dormitories, twins, doubles, ensuite rondavels, self catering cottages, group facility) to suit all budgets ,in a stunning location bordering the Drakensberg Park World Heritage Site on the famous Sani Pass.
